Dewane announced that our own Father Bill Davis will succeed me as Pastor effective July 1, 2019. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ- I share with you joyful news! On Friday May 10, Bishop Frank J. Dewane announced that our own Father Bill Davis will succeed me as Pastor effective July 1, 2019. I was delighted by this announcement. Father Bill has been a true gift to this parish as a Parochial Vicar. He is a wonderful, caring and dedicated priest. From various past positions including school Principal and Religious Superior of the largest Oblate Community in the world, Father Bill brings a breadth of leadership and administrative experience to the role. When I submitted my request for a transfer in order to be closer to my family at a time of need, I began praying each day that a good, caring Pastor would be chosen to succeed me. I love the people of Saint Ann Parish and I wanted to be sure that they would be in good hands. With the appointment of Father Bill, that prayer has certainly been answered in the best possible way. On the same day that Father Bill will begin his term as Pastor of Saint Ann, I will begin my new journey as Pastor of Saint Thomas More Oratory, the parish that serves the Catholic faithful at and around the University of Delaware. I will miss you all very much and I promise to visit when I can. In the coming weeks, pray for Father Bill as he prepares for his new role and as I conclude my final weeks as your Pastor, please also pray for me and for the people I will serve in my new parish. Be assured of my prayers for you always. God Bless You!
  • FROM OUR PASTOR...
Friends, I wanted to share with you that it is being announced this weekend that effective July 1, I have been appointed to serve as Pastor of Saint Thomas More Oratory, the parish that serves the Catholic faithful at and around the University of Delaware. I am grateful for the faith and confidence placed in me by the Oblates and Bishop Malooly. I am so appreciative of the fact that I am succeeding Father Edward Ogden who has truly been an excellent Pastor there and left me with big shoes to fill. I also am so grateful to the people of Saint Ann in Naples. As I conclude my service there in the coming weeks, I do so with appreciation for the incredible people I have come to know and I have had the privilege to serve! You will always be in my heart! FROM OUR PASTOR...
