A Message from the Oblate Provincial

Thank you for your hospitality during my visit to your parish last weekend. Every time I visit, I am reminded of the kindness and friendship that you have shared with so many Oblates over the years.

Last weekend, I shared an update on Fr. Bill at each of the Masses. I want to make sure all who may not have been here are informed of this news.

After consultation with the Bishop, I have asked Fr. Bill to leave his role as pastor and to focus on some personal challenges that require his attention and the care and support of his religious community. Fr. Bill is now in Delaware, living at an Oblate residence until his next assignment.

I assure you that the Oblate community will be here at St. Ann’s to assist Fr. Bob Mulligan and the entire parish family during this transition. Let us continue to pray for one another, our leaders, and our whole church.
